Description: The Assistant Member is responsible for developing an impactful and sustainable outcomes research program, particularly related to vulnerable populations. This position applies expertise in epidemiology, biostatistics, health services research, health policy, health education, or related fields to generate evidence that informs clinical decision-making and improves health outcomes. Typical Duties:
Develops an independent outcomes research program on topical areas relevant to vulnerable populations.
Develops research collaborations with subject matter experts.
Develops study design and identifies data sources to address research aims.
Develops data collection mechanisms to address research aims (e.g. survey questionnaires).
Analyzes data to generate results independently or in collaboration with biostatisticians.
Prepares abstracts, manuscripts, protocols, and funding proposals.
Provides research opportunities to trainees and students.
Identifies and implements approaches to improve healthcare.
Remains current with published literature to foster innovation.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Doctoral degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, health services research, health policy, or related fields from an accredited university.
2 plus years of applied research experience.
Preferred Education and Experience: :
Postdoctoral training or research experience in a clinical setting.
5 or more published manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals.
